Isaac Odur has just completed his Senior Six examinations at Greenwich Secondary School. Now, he is looking ahead with hope: he wants to pursue teacher training and become a teacher.
It is a meaningful ambition for a young man whose own education was once uncertain.
For years, difficulty paying school fees put Isaac at risk of dropping out. He wanted to continue learning, but repeated financial setbacks made it difficult to see a clear path forward. More than once, he came close to giving up.
Through Petra Kids Ministries, Isaac was connected with Lydia, whose faithful sponsorship helped him stay in school. Her commitment gave him the opportunity to continue his studies and reach this important milestone.
Completing Senior Six reflects Isaac’s perseverance and the difference sustained support can make. His next step is still ahead, but he now has a goal that reaches beyond his own schooling: preparing to teach others.
For us at PKM, this is a powerful reason to keep investing in education. A student supported today may become a teacher helping others learn tomorrow.
Isaac, we celebrate your hard work and share your hope for the journey ahead. Lydia, thank you for helping make this chapter possible.
