When someone in Timothy Ekwang’s community needs nursing care, he can now be there to help. As an enrolled nurse and Petra Kids Ministries alumnus, Timothy is putting his education to work in service to others.
His journey began with support that helped him through his own years of growing up. From a young age, PKM walked alongside Timothy, providing educational assistance, mentorship, and encouragement when he needed them most.
Timothy brought his own determination to that opportunity. Through the challenges he faced, he remained focused on his education and his desire to contribute to his community. That commitment led him to pursue nursing—a profession where his interest in medicine and compassion for others could become daily practice.
Today, his work places him alongside people during moments of illness, worry, and vulnerability. Nursing calls for both knowledge and kindness: the ability to provide care, listen closely, and treat each person with dignity. Timothy has chosen to devote his working life to that responsibility.
For PKM, his story gives lasting meaning to the support offered during childhood. The investment in Timothy’s education now reaches beyond him, touching the patients and families he serves.
This is central to our vision: helping children grow into adults equipped to sustain themselves and contribute to the lives of others. Timothy is carrying that vision forward through his own choices, skills, and service.
